After which there was anger in the whole country and people were saying that Pakistan should be taught a good lesson so that it never makes such a mistake again.Now India has attacked Pakistan under Operation Sindoor, the video of which is going viral on social media. 

What is Operation sindoor.

Operation Sindoor refers to a military operation launched by the Indian Armed Forces on May 7, 2025, targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). The operation was a response to the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, 2025, which killed 25 Indian civilians and one Nepali citizen.


Objective: The operation aimed to neutralize terror camps involved in planning and executing cross-border attacks against India, specifically targeting nine sites linked to groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed (in Bahawalpur) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (in Muridke).


Execution: Conducted at 1:44 AM on May 7, 2025, the operation involved precision airstrikes by the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, using beyond-visual-range weapons, standoff cruise missiles, and loitering munitions. The strikes were described as "focused, measured, and non-escalatory," avoiding Pakistani military facilities to minimize escalation.


Locations Targeted: Nine sites, including Muzaffarabad, Kotli, Bahawalpur, Muridke, Gulpur, Bhimber, Chak Amru, Sialkot, and Bagh.


Pakistan’s Response: Pakistan reported civilian casualties (3–9 deaths, 12–22 injuries) and claimed strikes hit non-military sites, including mosques. Pakistan’s PM Shehbaz Sharif called it an “act of war” and vowed retaliation, while their military reported six locations struck. Pakistan also closed its airspace for 48 hours and violated the ceasefire along the Line of Control.


International Reactions: The U.S. urged de-escalation, with President Trump hoping for a quick resolution. Other nations like China, Russia, and Saudi Arabia called for restraint, while Iran offered mediation.


The name "Sindoor" may draw symbolic significance from the traditional vermilion powder in Hinduism, symbolizing commitment and vitality, though no official explanation links the operation’s name to this cultural reference.
