Viral videos of terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India.

What actually happened in pahalgam j&k india.

On April 22, 2025, a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, targeted tourists at Baisaran meadow, a popular scenic spot known as "mini Switzerland." The attack, one of the deadliest in the region since the 2019 Pulwama strike, killed at least 26 people, including 24 tourists (two foreigners from the UAE and Nepal) and two locals, with several others injured.

The Resistance Front (TRF), a Lashkar-e-Taiba offshoot, claimed responsibility. Eyewitnesses reported 3-6 attackers, some dressed in military fatigues, firing indiscriminately with AK-47s and possibly grenades, targeting mostly Hindu tourists after checking identities.

The attack occurred around 1:30-3:30 PM, with survivors describing a planned assault that spared some women and children.

Here are the some disturbing visuals.

Victims included Lieutenant Vinay Narwal, a 26-year-old Indian Navy officer recently married, an SBI employee from Mumbai, N. Ramachandran from Kerala, and five tourists from Maharashtra.

A survivor, Pallavi from Bengaluru, recounted her husband Manjunath Rao being shot in front of her after terrorists instructed her to inform Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Intelligence suggests the attackers, led by LeT commander Saifullah Kasuri, infiltrated days earlier, blending as civilians.

Indian authorities, including PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, condemned the attack, vowing justice. Modi cut short a Saudi Arabia visit, and Shah arrived in Srinagar for a security review. The Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police launched a manhunt, cordoning off the area, and foiled an infiltration bid in Uri the next day, killing two militants. Air India and IndiGo added flights from Srinagar to aid stranded tourists.

World leaders reaction on pahalgam terror attack.

Global leaders, including U.S. President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu, and Italian PM Giorgia Meloni, condemned the attack and expressed solidarity with India. Local protests, including a candle march in Khod village, and a Kashmir Bandh call by political parties reflected public outrage. The attack, rare for targeting tourists, raised concerns about tourism safety in Kashmir, a region seeing a recent surge in visitors amid improved security.
